Really depends on the city though. I'd say above is accurate for advisory seniors in NYC and with an MBA. Most other salaries are significantly less.
What p4 says is consistent with my salary
That's been on my mind, and not a deal breaker... I need to show my worth and build the network I've grown here... so makes sense.
Take it and run!! Don't look back!!
With the new pay bands don't be surprised if you don't get much of a raise. Federal and commercial are on the same bands now.
Starts with ~95k for some markets, hours all the way up to ~145k for experienced seniors without MBA
This would be Advisory in DC... MA in my functional area, no MBA... over 10 years experience, moved to consulting about 2 years ago
Push for manager op
Ugh yeah come in as a manager. Sa1 in D.C. Is 95k, SA 2 is 100 and sa3 is 105.
^that is for commercial btw. No idea what federal is but I know it's lower.
Well, I can say they're offering me more than sa3 noted above... so that's good I guess
Might be a case of wanting to see me in action before signing off in Manager... not implying they even said that, but would make sense
Ok honestly, be prepared to wait 1.5 years for promotion. This will be another lean year and of two equally qualified people - partners will promote the person who they have a relationship with. There will be many qualified people up for promotion.
Do you mind me asking. What service line?
Federal... if that answers your question P5... are you talking specific capability?
Yes sorry. Are you doing DoD work, home land security, etc
Don't want to get TOO specific, but not DoD or DHS
No it's cool. Just curious since we really have no bench and we are still looking for people
Interesting I guess the public sector pay chart is a lot different than commercial. Because in general sa's in commercial make more, but I guess they bring more exp folks into federal and pay them more, just lower their title.
PwC 6 are you sure about that
