I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Just curious for those downshifting - do you still get compensated enough to cover benefits such as insurance, time-off?
Haven’t looked into it yet, but my husband makes enough. I’m an SM in tax making like 200 and he makes more and his job has awesome health benefits. We don’t live lavishly. Our biggest expense is child care, which would be less if I wasn’t working. I’m just sick pf the grind, working 80 per week with bad staff who cant be held accountable. And in busy season I’d get overtime.
If I could do equivalent of senior manager job for 200/hr for 25 hours per week thats 5k per week.
Plus I’m also a lawyer, so I’f probably try and get contract jobs at firms too. My specialty always seems to need people. So trying to figure out how to swing it. I guess I’d be walking away from retirement contributions etc, but my kids are young now anta more important to have the time with them.
