Question: do D.C. big law firms require a new associate to be barred in D.C. (or the surrounding states) to work there? I am barred in CA and trying to figure out if I need to take another bar exam. 6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I am interviewing for a Sr. Program Manager role at Adobe. Glass door says ~252k. What a typical base would be? How does adobe feel in the market right now as far as layoffs and expansions?

Beginning to consider going in house (4th, corp) - I really haven’t thought about what I want, partly because I’m not sure what’s out there/attainable. Am I screwed? I’m on track for about 1300 billables for 2021, target is 2000.
