So I just recently passed my CPA exams and I’m now looking for new opportunities. I’m hoping to work at a big 4 firm in tax and possibly connect with anyone working there right now. Please reach out to me, I would look forward to connecting and learning more about potential opportunities. Thanks!EY PwC Deloitte KPMG

I did it, but it took almost 5 months between resignation and actual re-employment date.

We don’t have many consultant level at AP…like a handful of people in Europe and then interns in the US. The Alix culture is hard - I find the teams snooty or under-skilled. I exited to corporate but wanted to take a few months off. I don’t regret the time. I island-hopped in Hawaii
Quiet quit while looking. Get that sweet 3 months severance
No, unless you have massive bank balance to get by 6 -12 months without sweating.

Only worth it if you plan to travel / use the gap time.
Otherwise just quiet quit and job hunt while getting a paycheck
I also did that, took 7-8 months to get the new job, but also pivoted focus areas. Worth it if you know which direction you want to go and have enough $$ to float you while you’re searching. If you do it, activate your network as soon as you are ready to find the new role. Much easier that way.
No, got a pay bump and a great signing bonus and RSUs.

You'd better have something lined up. After mid-April you will start to see the effects of the Strait of Hormuz impact all industries, and the layoffs will be brutal.
Tough to say without understanding your financial situation. Nevertheless that’s never a good idea in my opinion. If you’re really tired and fed up then you can take a short term leave while you figure things out.
This is not the job market I’d do that in unless you’re prepared to spend a year looking
You don’t know what’s really out there, I’ve seen some hot trash out there.
I would go for it. I did it early 2022 and took 9 months to cool off before accepting another consulting role that doubled my salary. I am thinking of taking some more time off soon. Tired as well.
If you’re as smart as you think you are you’ll be fine 😂 they print $$$ every day you just gotta get it.
