Resign with no plan B? I am so tired of big 4.

Has anyone ever negotiated/been offered a signing bonus and/or relocation bonus with the Big 4?

Hi everyone! I am a newly promoted senior at a B4 firm. Thought I might post in this bowl about being interested in referrals. Not sure how it works in consulting, but I feel like it’s an industry I’d like to get in. So if anyone is looking to refer someone, I’d appreciate getting in touch with you!

Tried to jump to a big 4 as a senior 2 in risk assurance . SF market - offered 93k base and 15k bonus. Is this worth?

Which would you rather? Internal at MBB or client-facing at Big 4/ACN?

Are A&M seniors really equivalent to B4 Managers? I am up for promotion this year to M1 and am interested in joining A&M but I’m hesitant as I understand A&M would only bring me on as a senior

Is it more worth it to go into FDD at a regional firm now, or hope that my current big 4 will transfer me come spring 2021?

I'm kind of in the mindset of only doing FDD at big 4, otherwise I'll go straight to industry. Am I being too down on mid-market FDD experience and the related exit ops?

Also, I can't go the route of doing FDD at a different big 4. Already got rejected by all of them cause I'm not in audit (but have CPA).

For those of you that jumped from Big 4 to smaller audit firms, what are some of the things that you did that helped you have a successful and fulfilling career at your smaller firm?

Transactions salary range for experienced managers or senior managers SF/LA location. Exploring options with other big 4. Any suggestions.

Looking through big 4 transparency salaries… does Baker Tilly just have awful pay for tax or is it just too small of a sample? Why do they pay 10-25% lower than all other firms?

Is senior manager level in an investment bank(RBC ) lower than manager level in big 4? If yes , which title will be same to manager level in a big 4?

If goal now is to get into MBB (personally prefer McK) - which of the following will be the best option that’ll help me get there -

1. SC at Big4
2. Engineer role at Startup (salary +50% higher than big 4 SC offer)
3. Amazon/Amazon Ops role (salary similar if not higher than option 2)

Joined pro a few months back in TC, I notice that the all the talks of big growth etc. was just talks. Have not had any decent project lined up and been sitting idle for past month. Also, majority of existing projects are Risk, audit and compliance related or we are trying staff aug / managed service (outsource). I’ve been on the bench with less than 10% utilization for 3wks now. I’m a first year and the past month has been slower with not many new projects coming in. I do see a few new projects come in every week but I’m not getting staffed on them. Should I be worried? Should I ask my PM if I should be worried? We’re in a pretty small group less than 20 people

Why do some people get laid off and others not? Is it always utilization? Do people typically know they're at risk before it gets to that point?

Left for industry and now I feel like a slacker when I leave at 6. My boss leaves at 5 and usually doesn’t expect stuff till the next day which also feels weird :/

How does your firm measure utilization? I work for a small boutique that defines it as utilization = number of billable hours/2,080 and full bonus payout occurs at 80% plus.
