Hi everyone! The Environmental Education Collaborative in Southern California is hosting an online symposium Feb 25-28 (after school and weekend hours) and we would love to have you. Our topics this year include Justice, Literacy and Wellness. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be leading a "Bob Ross" style painting session on the Wellness day that teaches the steps of the water cycle while incorporating SEL strategies. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2021-environmental-education-symposium

Call him more. Some day you'll wish you had.
It's bc he's a dad
Not a cheap shot, but some people wish they had that problem
Learn to love and appreciate it, one day you'll miss it
Y'all are reading it wrong. OP wants dad to talk to OP, not the Uber driver.
Not trying to be ungrateful. Just a stark difference
My mom too. In India. The first question she asked Uber driver... is this your own car?
Driver: Yes ma’am
Mom: how much do you make driving Uber?
Driver: <this much>
Mom: Oh!!! That’s much higher than a new joinee software engineer !
Driver: Yes ma’am I know :)
Mom: Do you have other job too besides driving Uber ?
Driver: No ma’am this is keeping me busy all day including weekends
Mom: At least you can call it day when you wanted, unlike software engineer
....
....
Mom: who do you think will win in next elections? And why?
....
Probably not used to ubering. I can picture my dad in the back being like “wow you can just order it off your phone? And they know where you are?” And then also schmoozing the driver the whole way. Must be a dad thing like A1 said
This is called human interaction. It’s ok to do once in a while.
Geez what’s wrong with talking ?
Hopefully he tells some solid “dad jokes”
So OP is less interesting than the Uber driver.
I talk to uber drivers all the time. It’s great learning about people outside our mundane corporate world.
I know a couple older partners who talk to the Uber drivers too. Gotta love dads
Have you ever tried to show someone older how to order an Uber? It is quite an experience
Our generation needs more people like that IMHO
Learn to be more like your dad
Guys... I love my mom and she loves me too. It is up to her if she wants to talk to Uber guy. Those who wanted to negatively comment my post, pls don’t waste your energy :)
