I totally agree with this! The company I work for believes that we can make up between $75-$100K a year going door to door. I’ve only worked about a few weeks and already I’m racking up credit card debt because of how much gas I spend traveling. Not to mention that people don’t answer their doors anymore and HOAs/police will follow you and or ask you to leave.
Finally, upper management believes that if you make X amount of knocks you should get X amount of sales magically. This is unrealistic and all they’re doing is dangling a carrot in front of you. I’m def looking for a job that actually provides an income rather than go into more debt and take chances that may or may not work.
