I read that Google has a 0.3% acceptance rate. I recently had my on site interview, got amazing feedback from the hiring manager and still got rejected. The moral of the story is that you can kill the interview and still get rejected. Lol
They’re pretty snobby about reviewing people. Don’t be surprised if they ask for your ratings at Deloitte.
I have the same impression/experience so far.
Get a professional resume /LinkedIn writer to hit key words and frame your skills
Network with employees. Reach out to recruiters who have googlr employees in their networks. U may be great for it but so are others.
Sparkles.
My only time I got an interview was through a referral
Employee referral
I’m actively interviewing with them, got reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIn.
I can have my brother refer you OP if you want. Share a burner
D2 im shocked. Your profile must be impressive
@Sapient1, I had to go check it because I couldn’t remember. I honestly transposed my resume into sentences, rather than a direct copy and paste. Beyond that, I don’t even have a complete listing of my new skills from D.
D3 do you mind having your brother refer me as well? My burner is fishbowlburner888@gmail.com. Thanks in advance
Go to Google, type in “Lambda Java”, hit refresh a few times until you get an invite to Foobar
M1- same here lol. I made the onsite and thought I had a strong chance but I’m pretty sure 10-15 people got invited to that. I guess it is impressive compared to the hundreds/thousands that apply per role?
There's a lot more beyond your control (e.g. internal candidates or others who have already done a final interview) so don't take it personally. Good luck!
I had a recruiter reach out via LinkedIn as well - I think they are actively hiring
Google is actively hiring in the bay area and have tons of reqs open.
Planning to move next summer to align with my SO. Should I wait as planned or do you think that’s a temporary hiring situation?
What’s the role, OP? Dm me and I can help!
