I would start the convos with your counselor now. Busy season is over or will be soon, so it should be a good time. Also FAAS has a need for seniors and managers so it shoudnt be that hard of transfer. Unless a partner on your end for some reasons wants you to stay at your current practice
Just try to transfer internally. You’ll get the bonus and then can revisit after October.
If you dont get a promoted to manager do you still get the 30k?
I took the 5k because I though I would be leaving but seems like I’ll be sticking around.
Or perks to exploring internally vs just finding some other firm in October after I get my bonus? Feels like it would be a whole new network anyway, so I'm not sure what I'd benefit from to just stay at EY.

If you transfer to cmaas I can get a referral bonus
Keep in mind that FAAS may “hold back” your promotion to manager. Bank your bonus is only counted by staying 3 years so that won’t be affected, but the $5k manager bonus might be in question
What makes you want to explore accounting advisory like FAAS? I’m also thinking about making the switch
I gotcha. I’ve talked with a few recruiters myself, but don’t know what questions to expect from partners in the actual interview process
