Hi Everyone !!!
This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.
I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?
Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

For a 50% raise?!?! Go for it!
Pro
50% raise sounds like an easy decision except for the fact that you would have to be on client site during a pandemic. That to me would be a deal breaker.
But if you're in the federal space I wouldn't worry too much about brand. The Booz brand is strong in this space and isn't going to hold you back. And Associate sounds like it would be a lateral move for you.

Usually 3-5 min, though you can find a couple unicorns who moved up quickly. And because Booz isn't an up or out culture you can find plenty of Associates with 20+ years of experience who have no interest in being promoted. It's a wide pay band and not a bad spot to be.
Used to work at Booz Allen, but one judgement on your post is unless you’re going from commercial to fed, you are barely losing any “branding”. In the fed space in DC, the names you mostly hear are Deloitte, AFS and Booz Allen
Non tech, former Bah person here working in SCM of fortune 50 company now.
No way that’s a downgrade. KPMG is better known but I wouldn’t consider it being more prestigious at all for most practices.

Sure if we’re taking government...
I have no idea if the OP is currently in fed or if that’s what they are looking to do career wise.
Outside of government the only brand equity Booz has is from the parts of the company it sold over a decade ago.
Associate is like upper senior/jr manager. You clearly know the answer. Don’t go for a money grab.
That’s the big question mark. I’m getting mixed feelings and answers. It’s a lot more money, and it will be in a lower cost of living area...
I would say branding wise, we’re probably a little bit less prestigious, but not by a huge margin.
For 50% more, I would switch in a heartbeat. However, having to move is a serious consideration. If you have deep roots where you are, it might not be worth it.
No deep roots, just really value flexibility and like the people I work with.
50% won’t look as appealing after taxes courtesy of your new tax bracket.
Good thing Accenture doesn't have a tax practice! We used to and then something bad happened I think.... Can't remember.
I went from BAH to KPMG, associate to senior associate. I didn’t have room to negotiate though. BAH is a greeeat company with excellent benefits and WLB.
I moved from DC to Boston, and had no room to negotiate an M title. Was respected more at BAH.
If you like coasting for years with min increases
Former BAH, great company. Much stronger culture, cohesiveness and reputation in the DC area. If you plan to work/live in DC, then BAH will always carry weight.
BAH has a flatter org structure so Associate is probably a cross between KPMG SAS / MGR. Very slow moving for promotions, but far more respectful of the mission each individual delivers to the client or to support those serving clients. Very different from the entitled culture of KPMG.
Suggest taking the 50% raise, give it a year and see if you are a good fit with the BAH culture. If not, jump to another firm. You will have lots of options.

Are you doing fed now? I hear Booz has very low raises, no bonus, and a difficult promotion process.
I’d avoid for the long haul, but could be a good stepping stone if the experience is transferable
Take that 50% pay bump and move after a year or so if you ain’t happy
I would go as I personally don’t mind working in the office with a short commute, and want the 40 hr work week you get at Booz and with a lower cost of living you’ll be saving a LOT.
Unless you really need to put your ambition at work. Many creative smart ambitious people are able to be satisfied without promotions because they take up cool hobbies. Is that you?
If you’re good with doing fed consulting then take the money. You could always leave and leverage that pay bump for your next position as well. Just know that BAH is quite a step down outside of fed, so it could affect career opportunities.
