Came into consulting from financial services to be greeted with a $0 bonus in my first year. I’m not sure why I made the move. Perhaps it was for experience or the travel. But, I’ve come to the realization that money motivates me, and I’ll be venturing back where I belong.

I have a question. I have 80k in student loans. I picked the option knowing I will pay 200-300 every month for 30 years. This amount is totally doable given my salary. Why are people so opposed to this type of arrangement this is much better than paying 1-2k every month for a much shorter period.

I one hundred percent believe Juneteenth should be a national holiday, and thankfully my agency is observing it today. Is there anyone else out there feeing just slightly salty about the fact that I still have to use PTO for my religious holidays? And above that, it often falls within a pitch and I just end up working regardless. I know the two aren’t mutually exclusive and I’m also aware it’s not the right time to bring it up with HR. Just battling some bitterness I guess?

When leaving a firm in part because of the type of work the exit op gives, and in part because of changes at the firm you are leaving, how open should one be about the issues at the firm one is leaving, to avoid burning bridges? I want to provide feedback, but I also don't want to piss people off.
