So, after working in retail pharmacy for 21 years (as a technician, then a staff pharmacist, now a pharmacy manager) I am really looking for a change of pace, whether it involves pharmacy or not. What are some of the options I could look into? Pharmacy and non-pharmacy suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

if your state has the opportunity, I can't recommend being a pharmacist at a medical marijuana dispensary enough. literally the best job I've ever had

like

It doesn’t yet, but that would definitely be one of my top choices!

Same here, I am doing the same, best option I found is MSL, as in retail I felt that no one has time to educate the patients, and most of my customers loved me as I make sure to educate them about side effects, about drug interactions and proper way and time of taking their medications, but as my store is closing so am feeling like changing my line but want to keep it rewarding want to do what I love most, MSL is way to go, to share our knowledge and be the bridge between HCP, KOL and patients and the pharmaceutical company.

I'm in the same boat. After 25 years I just could not stomach big box retail pharmacy any longer. Need a change of pace.

When I was hired, I don't recall being informed about my salary being tied to my location. My employment contract also only makes one mention of location, and says "home office" and my state. I was recently told by HR though that if I move, my comp. will be lower. Is this legal? Should I consult a labor lawyer?

In my mind, I don't recall being told this and it's not clear from my employment contract, so I feel like they're breaking our agreement, and it feels unfair.

Thoughts on what to do?
