Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

I’ve been offline for 200 days. And yes, I purposely have my status as offline because i don’t have tolerance for micro managers and big brother. If you have a question, my offline status shouldn’t prevent you from sending me a question. If im available, I will respond. If im not, I won’t—at which point you’re more than welcome to email me. Otherwise, unless it’s an emergency (and there’s really never a true emergency), then you can call me.
HR partner is not the typical HR group. they work directly with the practice leads on staffing availability and accountability. Therefore any negative feedback will go directly back to your practice lead.
I don't care about my status. If it shows away, someone can ping me and I will respond when I see it (likely on my phone or within 30 mins). Nobody has ever questioned my status and I would never question anyone else's.
Just create a Teams call with yourself when you step away, that way you're always set as busy.

SM1- Thanks for those inputs. Will look build these into my tests.
I used to do that when younger but who cares, as long as you get your work done. If you have management pinging expecting you to be available at a moment’s notice, switch teams. You’re not their errand boy/girl. Don’t work for micromanagers.
I 100% identify with this. I report to a serious micromanager and it’s well known that she takes note of when you’re “away” and what not. It’s absolutely unnerving. I’m ready to boomerang back to consulting 😂
Hah wait what did it do?

I've had more than one ridiculously micromanaging client in my life. The most recent one also issued their own laptops to make life even more challenging. It was in Accenture's best interest that I always show "green" on their laptop and I saw the client PMs notifications during a screen share where her laptop was showing one of my Accenture colleagues was now available so I made sure I was never idle during work hours after that. 😒🙄
