Hi Fishes, I am bit confused to pick the role in KPMG lighthouse as Sr Cloud Data architect or Saama technology as a Project lead. Money wise it is not a big difference. In KPMG I will work with partner where as in saama I will work with project/program manager. Please suggest your opinion. Saama KPMG KPMG India

It's also being sold as "no matter what your background is, you can transition to UX". Sort of an anyone can do it type career path.
I interview boot camp grads all the time. They all seem to have been sold that because they have 3-10 years exp in marketing/teaching/social work/etc that they can move directly into senior or leadership roles in UX. Esp common in grads of General Assembly. It's wild.
And what's crazy is it often works in Orgs that have new/primitive design practice. I often turn down candidates for Jr roles and see them pop up as design managers or leads somewhere else. Mind boggling.
Yeah, I think boot camp is good to learn the basics, don't mean to be harsh towards them. When you come out you are set to perform at an intern / junior level.
The concept and scope of "design" has suddenly expanded in the consulting world where it is flowing into a broad customer-back product and customer roadmap. I think this is part of the reason for an uptick in UX.
