Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

TSA pre-check is v nice
Global entry is huge if you want the benefits of precheck plus you fly back into the US from a foreign nation a couple times a year or more. So efficient and only $15 more than precheck
Both precheck and global entry last for 5 years. Precheck is $85 and global entry is $100. I got global entry reimbursed by my firm as a travel benefit.
Global entry interviews have been difficult to get recently to my knowledge but once you get global entry you only have to renew and never have to interview again
Interview is straight-forward… “are you the person you say you are,” “how would global entry benefit you,” “do you have any record of crime” (they already know the answer to these so it’s really a 10 minute formality from my experience
Good to know, K2! Didn’t realize
even the long pre-check line still moves faster than the regular line. plus you get to keep your shoes on and liquids in bag. it’s been a lifesaver for me
Clear with Prechecm/global entry is the most efficient if that's what you're going for.
Pro
I just do what my dad did in the 90s and arrive 9 hours before takeoff 😹
Lol you sound like my husband. I had to plead my case for monthhssss as to why we should get CLEAR. He was really set on we don't need it if we get to the airport on time. Now he can't imagine staying in a regular TSA line
CLEAR and PreCheck/Global Entry are different things, and having both is most effective.
CLEAR covers departure security screening part 1 “are you the person who bought the ticket” and Pre Check covers part 2 “are you carrying anything illegal”. Global Entry covers international reentry security “are you allowed into the country”
Getting global entry will also give you Precheck but requires an interview; but many airports have the ability to do impromptu interviews upon arrival internationally.
Depends on where you plan on traveling most. I've been fine with just pre-check, and while there are occasional lines, they move quickly and I still think it's worth every penny.
It really depends on how often you travel and if you value the convenience of quicker security checks. If you travel more than 3-4 times a year, then TSA Pre-Check may be worth it. Global entry is also a great option because it gives you access to TSA Pre-Check as well as expedited immigration and customs processing when you travel internationally.
I personally prefer to upgrade to TSA Pre-check because the lines tend to be shorter and move faster. That being said, if you travel to DCA often and find that the line is always long, then it might not be worth the upgrade.
The longest I've waited in a Pre-Check line is 10 minutes, and my home airports are NYC. Global Entry is great if you travel internationally. Like others have mentioned, they're back up for interviews but some airports have interviews when returning from travel.
Here to echo global entry with pre check if you have plans to leave the country this year (since your return is likely the only time you’ll get for an interview).
Even when the TSA precheck line is similar I’ve found I still get through more quickly than non precheck bc the line doesn’t need to take things out of bags, etc.
Precheck is also nationwide and Clear isn’t.
I like TSA pre-check! It's a simple convenience but actually makes a big difference if you're flying a lot!
Get Amex Platinum, you get $150 off by having a corporate Amex. You get both Global entry and Clear for free + other perks
This is the answer. Awesome card, just make sure you utilize enough of the benefits to offset the annual fee. Plus nothing makes the airport more chill than having both CLEAR to skip the line and global entry.
I like Pre-Check. I don't travel through DCA often but the airports that I do go through it usually never takes me more than 10 minutes to got through Pre-Check
I think too many people are catching on to Clear. The lines seem to be getting longer and longer. I would go with Pre-Check. It's easier to find than the Clear line at most airports
I like TSA Pre-Check and Global entry better because you don't have to pay it every year like with Clear
Delta SkyMiles and United MileagePlus offer a discount on CLEAR memberships. I believe it's like $20 so an fyi if you do decide to renew your CLEAR membership
I love having both TSA Precheck and Clear. My home airport has a separate line for people who have both - can get from entrance of airport to gate so fast! Really depends what your home airport has - If it doesn’t have Clear than I would just go with TSA Precheck. Global Entry is only worth it if you travel internationally .
Capital one venture or venture x pay for either tsa pre check or global entry
