Some companies really have to do better. How can you possibly put me on hold even before I speak to your customer support? Has anyone experienced this?

Well, we're understaffed, overworked, and underpayed so you can only expect a certain level of quality of out customer service

Yeah, it's pretty common as companies tend to cheap out on their customer service departments

A lot of companies use outsourced customer service, and a lot of times they have a script with solutions to basic questions. It's been obvious to me when I'm talking to a customer service representative and they have no idea how to help me out.

Unfortunately, this happens more often than it should because companies don't put enough money into their customer support to have enough employees and a good system that really works

I agree, this is one of the most frustrating thing to customers. I'm working in a call center and I think at least one out of three customers complains about it; all I can tell them is I know, I don't like it either.

Super frustrating. What's even worse though, is if you have ever gotten a phone call where a computerized voice tells you to "please hold for an important message." Excuse me, you called me, and you can't even bother to hire actual people to dial the phone?!?

Wait times keep growing and growing as people's fuses get shorter. I wish companies would start hiring the appropriate amount of staff again.

Do you work the holidays into your lesson plans this time of year? Or is it too much of a distraction from your routine? Teaching a SPED music class this year and the students have finally *mostly* become comfortable in the room and with the instruments + noise. We usually work on the same songs each week for one month, but I'm thinking of switching it up and doing Christmas/Holiday songs next week as a send off into break. I work with mostly autistic students.
