Had a bunch of great interviews with this tech startup and then the 6th with the CMO - who the job reports to. She was nice enough but not the warmest person - a bit late to the call, eating lunch during the call and asking very specific questions about what I knew about xyz and nothing at all personal. How do I get better at handling positive feedback? Was told I did a great job and I immediately think the guy’s lying to my face so he doesn’t have to have an awkward conversation with me.

One consistent feedback I receive is that I don't follow through on client relationship. I build tremendous trust and good will during an engagement, but I let the relationship die out once we wrap the work out. OR It is luke warm at best with a periodic email once in a while, unable to introduce people or grow the relationship.

I’ll be taking a look at all the recent SPACs that had huge runs. The plan is to watch for momentum to start fading and play some puts at or around merger votes. A lot of these plays are priced to perfection on revenues 5+ years away. Will some make it big? Yes. Will some fail, yes. Also starting to watch the warrant exercise requirements. All of these have huge supply coming to market and I plan to be on the other side of the retail suckers

I’ve been double dipping. Sometimes triple dipping during this pandemic while working the whole time remotely. I attend a few meetings but decline the majority. It’s busy, but it is possible. 

It tells me a few things: our pre-pandemic jobs were filled with lots of unnecessary meetings and busy work. Workers can be very productive and produce solid work if we are briefed well. One employer shouldn’t and doesn’t deserve all our time if we are excited to work. Trusting clients are fucking gold.
