My company offered to pay my way through the CFP program, on the contingency that I will pass and also stay with them for 10 years after the fact. Is this normal? It seems unfair to make me pay them back down the road if I decide to take a better opportunity. It’s a small business that is worried I will leave.

Recently got my CFP and wanted to push more in the planning direction. Kind of young for seminars so I thought maybe do more door knocking. What do you think about no soliciting signs though?
Anyone have success charging an hourly fee for financial planning? Considering making a jump into it, have cfp designation, but am mostly commission at the moment. Won’t be a total switch.

I don't have anyone else who gets this, but I hit my personal goal this year in almost every category; revenue, income, AUM growth, etc. Our fiscal year ends in October and I ended the year with a bang. Just super excited and I hope everyone else knows, this business is worth it when you put in the time and effort! Edit: also passed CFP in March!
I want to start on the chfc and cfp but the courses are 8k through American college. Is there a better alternative out there? I definitely think there's value in them but that's a bit steep for me
Is the cfp as hard as people says it is?
Do not go to the domestic terminal in ATL. TSA has made it a complete cluster fuck. Precheck line is past the restaurants in the atrium.

Anyone leave before their bonus (before knowing what the amount was) and then regret it when it turned out to be a huge bonus? Got a great offer that I want to take but feeling FOMO by leaving the bonus on the table. And yes, I tried moving the start date and asking them to cover the lost bonus but they said no and it’s still a better offer and it would be irresponsible not to take it.
