M1 is $172, m2 is $187. Bonus is up to 52%. Location is irrelevant

If they are really paying M2s $187k + potential 50% bonus then I’m going to apply. As a SM2 from Deloitte who usually performs pretty well I’d be killing it!
D2, literally any policy change (e.g. new expose policy) has a litany of folks who weren't even here in Booz days complaining that the firm has gone to shit. Not claiming we don't have some problems, but I think we're largely dealing with the exact same issues that any firm outside of MBB is dealing with.

You seriously get 50% bonuses? I’ve gotten 30 or 35% at D as a M and SM and thought that was great.
People are leaving because that's what happens in consulting. Strategy& staff have just developed a nice insecurity complex of thinking the sky is falling every time they hear any sort of news. If anything, things are much better than they were a year or two ago.

Not sure the question you're asking. The specific example I gave was a change to the expense policy (which happen, but I have seen little to no impact on actual expense behavior). Point is, certain folks are looking for a reason to believe the firm is in a downward spiral, when in reality it's the same bullshit everyone else is dealing with.
