Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

Rejected without interview with a referral. Ugh

The reason i ask is because you will need to demonstrate the ability to lead and coordinate activities in PM. Pmp is just a cert that shows you get the concepts

Whats you MS in? Just curious.
Health IT was a long term career goal. Generic enough and in consulting. But overtime I’ve realized that’s limited also. Someone suggested I learn a new technology or go towards AWS Cert or Cloud Technology.
EHR compatibility- not so much. Process management for health records, very much so.
....any tips, suggestions, advice or tricks?
9 years in the same role? Or 9 years in that industry.
9 years in different BA or consultant roles at different companies
Why PM? What do you like about it?
So what do you recommend as a next step in my career then?
Also, I have demonstrated PM skills but under a BA title. Looking for a new place to find a new role as PM or Agile Scrum.
I see. Maybe recruiters or people are labeling you. Take a second look at your resume compared to that of a current PM
True. Will do. However, in your experience, an agile scrum PM would be a better direction than a regular PM role? Or does it all depend on which company and how they define these roles?
Scrum is bigger in tech. Traditional PM with PMP better for long range stragey projects or true PMO companies
That’s helpful. Thanks! I personally think I can prove myself for a Scrum Master role. However, what’s the next step after that? PMs generally can have a better future track to move upwards with strategy goals, versus a Scrum person who is just getting requirements done. I guess Program Management could possibly be a role after an intense Scrum role with heavy domain knowledge.
I am starting to see the danger in generalizing but it’s common sense to think two steps ahead.

Ah ok. MIS. Nice. I honestly don't think PMP or agile certs are necessary. Just experience and influencing needed for your case. A lot of it depends on your long career goals which i dont sense is set yet.
Limited meaning not many positions as a Scrum Master in Health IT consulting or non consulting companies. Or am I wrong? Maybe I should do a Strength Finder test?
All i think about when i hear Healthcare IT consulting is EHR implementation which really does require scrum and PM skills. Do you have any experience with EHRs?
