Big agencies are way faster than small ones in my experience
Droga was lighting fast. I want to say 8 days…
Rising Star
From first interview to offer? I’d guess two weeks at the fastest.
9 days for me at droga
Midlevel creative
Had 2 interviews at Carat. HR contacted me that day about the offer.
Same here.
4 biz days. Probably should have been a red flag…
AD2 beware of catfishing!
3 weeks
Three days for my offer letter. Had to wait a little longer for my visa tho.
This was for BBDO NY
A week until offer + negotiations for about 3 more days.
Call with recruiter on a Friday, interviews with 3 people back to back the following Friday, offer on Monday, accepted by Thursday
2 weeks at Publicis. Although that was 10 years ago.
Hasn’t changed - sent my c.v on the 20th of x month - got my offer letter on the 28th of the same month (includes 1 weekend) so they basically took 5 days - offer letter came the morning of the 28th ✨
1 week - From in-house recruiter to offer/accepted negotiation
A weekend. Interviewed Friday, offered Monday. They had already approved the salary with HQ before I even met them so that's why it was fast.
But if you're waiting for hear back from a job and hoping there's a standard timeline to bet against... don't bother. Just put it out of your mind until you hear back. There is no standard timeline, and all kinds of things can change how long it takes (some other project takes precedence, hiring manager goes on vacation, important person quits, new candidate comes in last minute, HR slow to review things). You can't control it so let it go.
I’ve gotten hired within four days or less after receiving a recruiter email for each of my four jobs.
I had an offer once within 5 days (but I also had a connection at the agency and a competing offer on the table that they knew about so they had to hurry)
2 1/2 weeks for me
Started exactly two weeks from 1st interview date.
@vp didn't have to as I was freelancing. Just wrapped up projects.
For me at BBDO it was a week and a half but I had another offer which helped expedite things.
Last big agency - asked me one day "how much of a pay cut" I'd need to take to change from freelance to permanent, it was sorted by next week (J. Walter Thompson).
Current agency (small, indie) - interviewed Friday PM, offered job Monday AM, started following Monday.
2 weeks
