What is the hiring process of persistent systems? I am done with one technical round and got an email with subject line as 'feedback' but in mail it is written that they will get in touch with me. What does that mean? Will there be more technical round or managerial round?

Can someone in the EY-Parthenon Singapore office tell me more about the difference between the role of a senior associate doing valuation in the strategy and transactions team and the generic strategy team? Saw 2 job postings with one specific for valuation, modeling and economics, and another for just the generic strategy team. Would really appreciate if I can reach out to someone to have a chat about this. Thanks much!

Sorry, but anyone clueless and callous enough to say that isn't going to change. If you sit at the front desk, many people will see no further than that.
As you can see by the comments, it's a common attitude. If reception forms part of your duties, dealing with the ignorant and the rude comes with the territory.
If you are extremely confident that your supervisor values your other contributions, you could ask about the possibility of finding someone to take over reception duties so you can concentrate more on your other tasks (have that long list ready and use it). Only try that if your company is growing though. And be ready for them to say no.
I am so sorry to hear that. I always correct people at my company when they say it. I am like, she has a name. It is so rude not to bother to get to know someone's actual name. I am so sorry they treat you like that.
While I understand the frustration of when people do not see the value you provide with the work you do, it doesn't sit right with me to equate someone who is at reception as a decoration. By saying that you are kind of treating actual receptionists the same way others are treating you.
As for how I respond, I'm the type of person who has no problem correcting people and educating them on what I do. Some people will apologize, some might learn something new, and sadly some will continue to not understand.
I hear your pain! 😩 try working in Academia where everyone with a PhD thinks they’re Einstein and walks with their nose up in the air. They can be so condescending.
And I feel your pain. There are some really nice academics that I've supported, but the culture at large values Professors over Assistant Professors, Assistant Professors over Adjunct Professors, Any kind of Professor over a Teaching Assistant, then comes the Administrator, and last, the Administrative Assistant. The TAs are good about demonstrating respect, and the most settled, tenured professors also demonstrate respect for the role -- they understand what operations are important and who does them. But even the friendly professors tend to overexplain things.
