As I got to the interview room there was a large executive chair facing away from me. The chair turned and on top was a mirror. When looking in the mirror I could see the cat. I am the cat. A question for recruiters with knowledge of Applicant Track Systems (ATS). Do products like Greenhouse show if an applicant has applied at other companies? I imagine not, as it would be a massive privacy violation if that was the case.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

As an agency writer, I’ve got a solid understanding of messaging and campaigns and I’d love to be involved at more phases of the product marketing.

I'm two thirds through the PMA Core Certification, and the info is great but the tests are a joke. They need to contract with an educator that specializes in testing and assessment to come in and develop exams that actually measure if you know the material. The bad test design devalues the certification. Not to zero, but I definitely will not be proud to have earned it. It just means I had $1300 and sat through 15 hours of video lectures.

any insight into how a pmm skillset is different from a brand strategist one? of course the pmm applies insights to and influences the product, but it seems like a lot of the core elements - research, understanding the user, generating insights, developing messaging and angles to speak to them, etc are super similar. interested in transitioning and I want to understand where my gaps are!

Should I take this role?
Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent to my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t grow my network as much, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)
