Theoretically how much of a pay cut would you take for a fully remote role?

None post Covid world.

like

None, I get paid for my impact to the business which as long as that doesn’t change when I go remote, the pay should be the same

like

The cost of commuting, parking, clothing for sure.

like

…meals, hours of time lost per day, wear and tear…

like

None. My team would still get the same level of service and my mind would still spend just as much time solving problems. It gives me more focus (better for employer) and more flexibility (better for me).

If we were in an alternate dystopian reality where all competition amongst employers ceased to exist and we had to pay a price for working remote … I would pay 25% of my salary to reallocate 2 hours/day of commuting to 2 hours of flex/family time.

like

I wasn’t really asking the value of it from an employer perspective. Let’s say you have two identical roles: 1 employer pays X and you have to go into office 3x a week. Other pays Y and is fully remote. How much more does X have to pay for you to accept that offer?

like

Since the labor market is so tight, it’s the other way around…how much of a premium is a company willing to pay to retain workers?

like

Um, to move to an in office role for 50% more, I'd probably say no

like

I dont get this question. Why a pay cut? Do responsibilities decrease with the role being remote?

I don't usually see employers calculating commute to work in the compensation structure.

like

Find a different job, that's remote and pays more.

like

0 lol

Wouldnt take a paycut. Im already remote. Pay me what I make now/more or buzzoff.

$3,750

Probably ask more as I think the mental health programs aren't completely free. That shots gonna cost more than transit fare and other commute expenses.

My value isn’t based on where I work. I would not take a paycut based on where my desk is..

Hey All,
I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

Hi Fishes,

Wanted to know which one is better option to choose in terms of Work/Life balance, Career growth, hike and job security?

Hello fellow SAP Consultants!
I am SAP HCM consultant having 4.10 years of experience. I feel that this module doesn’t have any growth. My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. Should I be worried about my skillset? Any insights would highly be appreciated. I feel stuck.

I am a 3rd year senior associate in alternative investment tax and up for manager promotion this year. I really dislike the long hours of this job and seeking to make a move. Although I’m not sure i necessarily want to stay in tax. I have a young toddler at home and want to find a job i like, makes decent money, and has decent hours so i can spend more time with family.

Has anyone been in a similar position and made a move? Can you please share your experience? Thanks!
