Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

Honestly, if it's only a month, I don't think I would notice.
Only include years of employment , not months.
Totally. I don’t see why—particularly at a director level— why months come into play
Hiring manager here - seconding and thirding those who said put years on your resume not months
If it’s a place that is questioning a month you probably don’t wanna work there
I have a two month gap and I don’t even mention it, and in the eight years since and countless interviews not one person has asked me about it. I just say “I was at this job and then after two years there, I switched to this job”
A month is nothing. Move on.
You went to italy
One month is nothing. Lay offs are par for the course. Say you went fishing. Had the time of your life.
No one will care. In fact, I’d be surprised if they even noticed.
Be honest. Our industry is much more unstable than ever before. More project work, less retainer contracts, more layoffs. There is no need to hide being laid off. It’s a part of working in the ad business.
Love the “you’re not on parole” response so much. Your career path is up to you and as long as you are confident in your badassery, it matters zero if you have been working consistently, freelancing, giving birth, taking time to travel, randomly scooping ice cream for Jeni’s part time while you consult (me, for a few months in 2012). You need proof you can do the job well, which I’m guessing you have, and you need the desire to do a good job and that’s about it.
Fudge the dates on LinkedIn and pretend it never happened. 😎

Does being laid off get recorded in some official record? If not, I would say you wanted to change direction and are taking time to do it
That your former boss is a real piece of shit.
A month? No one will even ask.
Only a month? You’ve been evaluating opportunities based on past experience in order to find the agency that best fits your vision for the next stage of your career. Open, shut
It’s not even a truth thing...? It’s a month. A MONTH. Why would it be any issue? One of my friends quit her job to travel and still land interviews and eventually a nice job easily when back. Do not stress!
A month is absolutely nothing at all. Some people have a year gap this industry, if anyone is interviewing you and has to ask why you have a gap, they are clueless about how this business operates. Shame on anyone who asks that question.
Believe me, there are so many folks out there today with gaps of 1-3 YEARS... A month is literally nothing.
Month is nothing! Just stay you wanted some time off for yourself, spent time with family, traveled IDK. I don’t think you have to go into it unless they ask and layoffs happen all the time.
I don’t think you have to explain a month gap but anything longer than 3 months you probably will
