Thinking of spending half a year in Germany and the other half in Spain/Portugal with my family. Can anyone share experiences, esp. with a kindergarten kid? Thanks!

hey, in germany, especially the bigger cities you also have bilingual Kindergarten. acclimatisation for kids that age is usually not the problem. rather make friends fast 😉 which city you want to go, I can have a look

Just took a pregnancy test and it is ++! This is our 3rd, I am excited and we planned for this, but man the accountant in me can’t stop processing the numbers. Instead of focusing on our budget today (and the insane cost of daycare), help me find a fun way to tell my husband! My first I gave him the test and a little baby outfit from his alma mater, second I just said it while we were talking about how nice it is that our first is a good sleeper. Any fun ideas would be appreciated!

Started as a baby legal assistant about ten years ago at a transactional firm - now the majority (seven years) of my experience is in litigation. I am wanting to move more toward transactional or in-house now. Am I basically starting completely over? I am well respected and sought-out in litigation, but I'm unsure of how to market myself in the direction I want to go with as much confidence. Has anyone successfully made this move?

Left consulting to industry ~4 months ago. It was a tough adjustment in the beginning but I’m in a spot where I finally feel more comfortable. The hours are better than consulting (but not as good as my fed consulting experience) and people are helpful and super smart. My old company was bought by GDIT (federal contract) and my old team lead reached out to see if I was interested in coming back. I loved that team/client, and the hours were amazing (had 9/80 schedule too). But..continued below.
