Thoughts on the front of house staff having visible tattoos? I'm fine with the back of house having whatever but when I'm hiring for more customer visible roles, I have higher standards for what I consider professional appearance.

I don't think it matters. This isn't the 1950s anymore. People, customers included, are used to seeing tattoos. If it was a face tattoo or something offensive, I'd draw the line, otherwise, not a big deal.

Ive got 4 tats, one being a stripper on a dance pole on my arm.

I worked in a fancy restaurant and my ex boss told me it was controversial.. and i was to hide from the guests. which i disagreed with and found insulting.

So i upped the ante,

The next day i wore my fbi: female body inspector t shirt, SLEEVELESS!

Dude almost had a brain aneurysm when he found out i had been standing welcoming in his guests at the front door all night.

He fired me on the spot. I left feeling proud i stood up for my fellow tattoo people and got straight to work finding my next tattoo friendly boss.

What do you think about 100 e-mails, 25 conversations on the phone (not calls, conversation), 30 connection on LinkedIn, 30 messages on LinkedIn? Looking to exit from 195k base to a sales role base 140 + 40 in guaranteed bonus year 1 to make up for the lengthy sales cycle. I know in the long run total comp through equity and sales commission bonus can be much higher but having a hard time making the jump… mostly my ego to drop drastically in TCO the first year after spending all these years trying to increase base. I started in my first SDR position in a small SaaS start up few months ago. I am the only SDR and their first ever.
The base salary is ok but I haven’t received any commission structure up to this day.
I book an average of 3-5 demos per week. People always show up, but the thing that worries me is that I do not have a way to track how many meetings I book in our CRM,and to be honest I feel like I didn’t get the best training overall. Should I start looking somewhere else? Thoughts?

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.

Coustmer comes in and then ends up leaving with a grossed out look on his face just for him to put in a complaint about my appearance...he down right called me some nasty things for no reason. Still feeling gross about it. He was upset for no reason as far as I'm concerned.

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions.
