Key thing: they announced the elimination of copays etc. Only one month before enrollment. Tons of people dealing with post July 1 childbirth or expensive medication are now fucked because there was no financial planning time allowed.
The language of the update is also insulting, as if we're all asking for this as idiot millennials who'd rather have jeans and bean bag chairs than decent pay. "We've heard your feedback!" Fuck you.
I 100% agree with the language. Not at all tactful. Everyone one of them started with "We listened to you and your insight and [took away something that directly benefits you shortly before you were expecting receive said benefit]"
Which makes the emails blatant lies because no employee would ever request a reduction in benefits directly before they were promised.
I see it like getting a Christmas tree set up and getting excited for your presents and then 2 weeks before Christmas you run down stairs and your parents kick you in the balls then tell you you'll get your presents in 12 months and they'll for sure include the presents you were supposed to receive in 2 weeks.
As I know, it also increased the deductible for some other plans
Screwing up manager bonus
Delaying phone upgrade
Delaying performance bonus which was supposed to be paid last year
Reducing a lot of out of market training and make them virtual

"Partners cutting our benefits"?? The partners did not get a say in those cuts.
If you don't have Open Access I don't see why its such a big deal. I have it but I'm not even complaining that bad. Is there another change to benefits I am unaware of?
