Traditional for 1. Tax defferal and 2. Roth conversion ladder when the RE part of FIRE hits.

The proposed regulation would remove the backdoor loophole, yes. If that happens we’ll see, but it shouldn’t impact this strategy with current funds

What are the ways to make money in Roth IRA account grow?

like

The same way you make it grow in any account

like

Build up a ROTH so you can draw on it early if you retire early. Then when you have enough switch to traditional.

like

Just do both but early in career favor Roth and vice versa

Roth is pretty difficult over like $140k right?

Don’t confuse IRA and 401k - For IRA: any high earners (most consultants) will not be able to do a traditional IRA and deduct it, so there’s no reason to do so. The only other option for growing an IRA is a backdoor Roth. For 401k: there are no income restrictions, just contribution limits of $19.5k. Whether you choose Roth or traditional is up to you

Where do you work, and what educational benefits does your employer provide? Currently working full time and taking some classes toward my master’s. I’ve been at my firm for a little over 2 years as it was my first gig out of undergrad. It provides an annual stipend for education, but I’m bored, unchallenged, unfulfilled, and underpaid. I want to explore what other companies offer to make an educated decision as to whether I should go elsewhere. TIA!

Does the office you’re interviewing for factor in when it comes to your success? For example, would I have a higher likelihood for getting an offer in Dallas than NYC?
