We’re all a slave to someone. To me, you’re the rich executive

Did OP just say women have an unfair advantage over men in consulting? 🤡
Argue?! I genuinely wrote in support of gay partners. Its very binary. There’s nothing to argue, unless you oppose, in which case, I don’t have to argue- everyone here will trample on you, and someone will probably find out where you live.
What?!!
I'm not sure why this is in the exit opportunities bowl and not the main bowl, but this isn't a non-white vs white issue. Many non-whites practice similar regressive corrupt practices of promoting their "favorite sons/daughters" over others regardless of merit. Speaking from first hand experience. Root cause is corruption/nepotism/greed
True that- except that I dont care about the 3 strikes, more about morons who identify me and pass disparaging remarks- laters…
While I feel and understand your pain as a POC, I know of the few people of color who did get to Partner. It’s a long slog. Other partners need to like you. There’s a lot of extra work to do. Is it even worth it if you don’t get it? They also work insane hours. WLB is non-existent.
Totally agree and it’s so unfortunate. My only advice is to get out and let the partnership deliver with those people they prefer over us. You will make more outside and will have a far better wlb. If you stay there, you will be the workhorse that does the heavy lifting and they will give all the credit and ppmd promotions to others who have no idea of how to deliver.
Happy for you SM1, guess it’s a matter of finding the right place. To each their own!
I’m BIPOC. It’s sad, but M2 has a point. Even if you make it, they’ll use you to stiff other BIPOCs, F or LGs who’ve fallen out of favor.

This is 100% my experience. You work hard for years coming up with a polished business case, market sizing, staff plan, realistic ROI…and then some white kid comes in and is like “dude I’ve got this crazy idea, why don’t we do this thing” and the partners tell you “see, this is the capability we needed” and then gives them the money
LOL, its not done that explicitly. In white collar environments, it’s very subtle, but I see your point.
If you are clever enough, you’ll connect the dots and have enough evidence. The bigger question is, what do you do with it?
So true. As a person of color. I agree with you.
