Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group is too slow. For anything you wanna do inside the organization, 12 months of tenure is required. Even for promotions its the same no matter hoew exceptionally you perform.
Whereas Bain & Company has no such minimum tenure requirement. My colleague got promoted in 4th months of joining right out of college.

Am I doing a mistake? Going from PwC to Accenture for $45K more (113 Vs 158), and a role that’s better aligned with what I was doing before joining & what I want to be doing? I joined PwC for the experience and the exit opportunity it can provide me in the future, but it’s hard not to accept this role from Accenture! Decision need to be made by end of this week….

Lol so glad you clarified what you meant by “take on a straggler” cause I was about to get creative with that
San Diego and then hit the beaches in Mexico
San Diego!!! 🏖
I would avoid LA if you only have a weekend, you will spend half a day in traffic. I would probably choose San Diego or Portland if you only have the weekend. Chill cities with amazing food. I want to go back to Portland just for the food. Seattle takes more days to explore, I’d save that for another time, but can make it work if you wanted to.
I just basically posted the same thing :) let me make a burner and I'll get back to you
Meaning I’d love to try to meet some people in whatever city it end up in - don’t have friends in any!
Seattle!!
I second Seattle. Super solo traveler friendly!
If you are getting a car, PDX. I lived many years in both PDX and SEA and honestly think PDX is the more interesting, unique experience...if you can drive and hit all the neighborhoods. The food (other than ultra high end is as good or better and much more inventive). It will be 10 deg hotter in Portland too (about 80 this weekend)
Seattle touristy stuff is more centralized and transit friendly so it it easier if you just want to walk from your hotel.
Seattle or San Diego!
San Diego or LA
Portland!
PDX is great solo, lots to eat, bike the whole city, and people watch. Super white though, which is interesting to observe but also kind of sad when you read up on the city's history.
Anyway that aside, you can't really go wrong with a solo weekend in any of those places :) depends what you're in to (outdoors, beach, shopping, clubs, food, etc)
Sounds good C2! I don’t know many people in Seattle so I’d love to hang out!
