It is technically true. TSA pre doesn’t usually enforce. You can also split the items between personal item and carry on to make less noticeable. I just went through CLT precheck with way over quart size bag worth
It’s technically a ‘3-1-1’ rule: you’re entitled as many < 3.4oz bottles of liquid as you can fit in a (closed!) 1 qt bag - 1 per passenger.
It’s inconsistently enforced, i.e., as long as you’re not too far off that rule, you’ll rarely get stopped except by the new TSA agent and/or at smaller airports 🤷♀️
OP, I've never had this happen to me but I feel for you. That sucks.
Yup, all fluids have to fit in one quart bag. May be time to down size the beauty regimen if you have to haul that much stuff...
Get pre check obviously
I don’t even have pre and this rule is still never enforced. It’s my biggest fear that one day I’ll be strolling along TSA and then it’ll randomly happen to me.
All were in mini bottles under 3 oz
Technically yes, but never saw it enforced
I live in CLT and haven’t had a problem there, but happened to me my first week as a consultant in STL!
TSA also only caught 1/10 guns in random tests. Terrorist who got caught with the one: "wait, is this real??"
