I signed for a new job two months ago and will start next month (3 mo notice period in Europe). They were very keen on getting me on-board ASAP before signing but since I signed the contract it has been silent from the new employee. I've emailed them with questions as I'll be re-locating to NL and it takes them 1-2 weeks to reply. Given all that's going on in the world, I'm worried they might fire me before I even start.

Having tough time deciding between IB & Consulting. My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? And if consulting does get hit hard, I would hopefully have a full time IB offer via internship.

I mean I just cracked the interview to join KGS. And now again why do I need to attend interview? Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
