Is anyone else Accenture struggling to find open staffing positions? Last project ended a couple of months ago and I can’t seem to find anything new.
Which job would you choose given the two choices right now?
- VP at JPMC
- high performance, specialized IC role
- ~205k TC
- 4-week vacation and tons of benefits
- Back office role 35-40 hrs a week
- lots of learning opportunities
- smart, competent coworkers
- chill boss, who is empowering and giving a lot of autonomy
- way too many VPs to compete with, will not be easy to get to ED
- Could be more exit/external opportunities at ED level in 3-5 years

Anyone seen any Black History Month work they like this year? All I’ve seen so far is brands either staying quiet or fumbling badly (Bath & Bodywork’s, American Airlines).

Recently tried to buy series-I bonds from the fed and they refused to allow me to open an account without getting a notarized form with my address on it. They say it’s a 13 week processing time, which really pisses me off. Two questions:
1 - would I be able to max out 2022 plus 2023 series-I investments if they were bought in Jan 2023?
2 - is the treasury pulling this shit with everyone? In efforts to get fewer people to purchase series I?
Hi all, I am needing some help with a salary negotiation. I am trying to relocate to Pittsburgh area. I get paid more right now (maybe becasue I am in Oil and Gad industry) but want to see what the market average look like in Pittsburgh.

As much as logistics spans the globe, let's face it, it's still a male-dominated world, especially at the managerial and operational levels. How is the company you work for addressing this?

Was trucking my load across statelines, as one usually does. Turns out the new guy sitting next to me was never properly trained on how to secure said load inside the truck. Now we're trying to put everything back in it's place and it's so annoying. I don't blame him but still.

Hello, looking for a bit of advice. I have applied to about 30 positions in the last two weeks and have not gotten any interviews. I have 7 years of military supply chain experience, plus a year and a half outside of the military. I am an inventory control manager currently, and have applied to positions like demand planner, supply chain manager, supply planner, and other manager positions. Any advice on how to correct my job search?

I worked at two different food delivery companies with nearly polarized cultures. One was transparent and collaborative, allowing ideas to come from anywhere in the organization. The other was very secretive, and you could only focus on what you were assigned to do. In your opinion, what defines a great company culture?
Can anyone help me land a supply chain role with Northrop Grumman in Philly or MD? I have applied for about 60 positions now, some referrals some not, and have not landed an interview. I am beginning to believe my experience just isn't good enough. If anyone is willing to provide a referral, advocate by making a connection to an actual hiring manager, or even just examine my work experience and point me toward the roles to apply for, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Some of us drivers in the company we work for are striking starting next Monday. We found out our employer has been paying different wages to everyone, but also some drivers haven't been paid in months and our employer just says "oh I wired you the money, not sure what happened". This is insane!

At this point I really don't know of any other path for us. i have no desire to have to quit my job, and cannot be guaranteed of another one, but it is absolutely untenable at this point, and Amazon is at the critical mass size of downright needing a union. It's basically it's own industry.
I am not a fan of unions. I think they do more harm than good.
I don’t trust that a union would have better negotiating power than Amazon to get us good insurance at a decent rate. My opinion.
For a company to fight against unionization so hard makes it more obvious. Having a union and a union rep back you up gives you more bargaining power in appeals and other HR-related things. It’s not just about pay but giving power to employees so Amazon can’t terminate you just because of budget cuts or something silly.
All I can say is that those workers are resilient and brave. I have a mixed opinion about this. I just hope the union could give them more power to address their concerns.
I am silently rooting for them. I just hope they will not face problem after problem and eventually lose the will to fight.
