Best use of hand clap emoji seen on FB thus far. Bravo.
If that happens, I text/email at the :05 minute mark to ask "if we're still on"... You should do that
Right? It's just plain rude.
What about recruiters that tell you for days and/or weeks in row that you are perfect for the job, the team wants you, and they are just getting details and timing nailed down and then they *ghost* 👻... vapor...stop responding to your follow messages. Argh, for fucks#'s sake, I can't deal with these 20something recruiters any more!!!!!!!! Be an adult.
Told one I was free after 2:30pm on Monday, doesn't confirm a time but calls me at 11am "just in case it worked" my response: "no, I'm in the middle of something please email me and set up a time" 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Superb use of clap emoji
Those who can't do, recruit. FFS. I'm not sure I've ever had a recruiter call me on time and some forget entirely. Then want to reschedule. No way. You get one chance.
Better then giving you the wrong date and you've got 3 missed calls and angry emails from the director you were supposed to be talking to an entire 2 days early because typing out Wednesday is just like typing Monday in an email 🙄
Update: She was a bit of a mess on the phone, but likable. Today, she scheduled me for a phone interview with the hiring company for tomorrow at 11am. She didn't send me her notes and interviewer info and prep stuff until 8pm tonight (and I had to follow up to get it). And her email says I'M supposed to call the interviewer at 11am. So bizarre.
How about the ones who miss appointments?
Tell her very politely you unfortunately have a conflict conference call at 9:30 and can chat for 10 min but would love to continue at another time. That'll send the message.
Because recruiters have the most difficult role in advertising. Obviously.
