And just to make it plain I am not the nurses secretary or assistant. My scope primarily is insurance related issues and disability and FMLA forms, and coordination between vendors and our facilities. To me scratching out an old fax numbers for you seems like a way to make things easier for the nurses but there’s no value in me doing that when that can be done by the individual. When I complete fmla forms for example I don’t ask no one else to fill in the doctors information I simply do it myself and fax it. I know this may seem small but seems a little belittling or like they feel they are too good to do that.
Yea honestly that just sounds like they are pushing something off on you because nurses are so busy and don't want anything else on their plate. I would think it would definitely be their responsibility to verify that information before filling the request.
