Well, failed AUD with a 62. This was my 3rd attempt at this section and I’m honestly shocked about the score as I felt very good about the MCQs and decent about the SIMs. Been getting punched in the mouth with this CPA journey for awhile now and am very close to quitting. Maybe I’m not cut out for it.

No. You absolutely are. Take a day. Have your this sucks and then get back at it. No freaking lie I took aud over 6 times. Kills me thinking about it to this day. And after each failed score holy crap it was rough. But guess what. Cpa now. I had a come to Jesus moment and just buckled down. Nov Dec gave up so much. Said no to lots of holiday things. Took that damn test last day of the year and found out two weeks later and cried my eyes out. It’s worth it.

Do not give up.

YOU GOT THIS.

Thank you for the encouraging words! It truly is frustrating putting so much effort into something and not see any results. Either way, I’ll give myself 24hrs to sulk and then get back to the grind.

Advice needed:

Strategy Analyst at a corporate -> IT DD/ODD at EYP -> Strategy Consulting at the same firm

Detour or shortcut, my goal is to be in strategy consulting. Is it better to just wait for a couple more years and then go directly into strategy consulting? Are IT DD and ODD experience viewed favourably by strategy consultants?

I am prior military and went to law school. I had a family to take care of while I was a student, hence I went as fast as possible to get to a paycheck, graduating in 2 years, and bypassing the standard summer clerkships. How could I get some experience strictly remote? I am w-2 working as an accountant in healthcare, have passed the bar and am working on my CPA license (studying starts at 3 am, then work FT). I would like to eventually hang a shingle as a tax lawyer, but need experience. TIA!

wondering if any consultants here have switched to IB? And if so, what’s the process for doing so!

Any consulting -> Tech sales people out there? Curious how consulting experience is perceived both from a compensation and placement standpoint in the tech world…? What should my expectation be? For context — I SDR’d as a senior in college and was promoted to AE right as I took a BA offer from McKinsey. Wanted to get broad exposure & become a more analytical problem solver… dont regret my decision at all but really loved sales and would like to get back around my 2-3 yr mark.
