My Grandmother would always say, “Count your blessings”. I try to remember this when I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with life. My kids are healthy, my husband and I have a steady income, we have a roof over our heads and can provide for our family. This is truly a blessing.
I also feel better when I come home and unplug. No work, no emails, no phone. I also started going to the gym a few days a week and that has helped a lot! I have more energy and feel stronger.
One more thing, I’ve started saying “NO” to things that add more to my plate (and I don’t feel guilty about it!).
Sorry to hear that. Remember each new day is a gift, try to focus on all the things you do enjoy about life. Living in gratitude and I’m sure things will get better.
I'm sorry to hear that...work can be so difficult sometimes. Is there anything you're planning to do over break to have fun + take care of yourself?
I don’t have kids, but I can relate to feeling lonely despite being around people all the time. I literally have no social life during the school year & rarely see friends. Sorry you’re having a rough time. You’re not alone, as you can see in these comments. I hope things get better for you & you can get some needed “me time” for self care. I know it’s hard.
I was just telling my sister the same thing. For some reason, I just feel this depression hanging over me and I can't figure out why. It's just not a good feeling but not sure how to get out of this funk. I am sorry you are feeling this way too. On the bright side, we are changing the clocks this weekend which will bring more light and longer days for us. I am wondering if I am feeling just a little seasonal disorder because it's been a long winter. Hoping I feel better once we change the clocks again. I would advise to check in with yourself in a few weeks to see how you feel and if you are still struggling, maybe think of reaching out to someone for help. Best of luck to you.

I'm so sorry, friend. I am in a major funk for sure! My spouse has work woes, my children each have their own challenges and I am lost in it all. I want to sell everything, go off grid, and just read all day. The weight of it all is crushing the life out of me.
