I joined KGS in feb 2022, we recently got a mail regarding timeline of appraisal and bonus payout from the partner. My reporting manager hasn't yet reached out to me regarding goal setting, not sure if that happens here. Can you pls help me to know what all things we need to do from our end for the appraisal cycle and bonus payout? Since I'm new to this company KPMG KPMG India

Same thing happened to me 2.5 years ago. Still waiting.
Follow up again explaining you never heard back. Sucks that it happened, but if it’s been months I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Sorry that it happened to you OP!
Follow up with the recruiter. Not a great reason but its end of summer when many are using up their PTO and, it's year end time for us which puts recruitment on the back burner.
This is very indicative of how they treat their employees
Went through this cycle with KPMG for a while but after following up and being recommended for specific opportunities, I ended up with an offer.
Happened to me. My interview process took 6 months from first interview to offer letter. Got the job in the end, though!
Doesn’t sound like a place you would want to work at.
@KPMG1 I did . She said she will follow up with hiring manager but that was monthssss agooo. No more response from her after that...
@D2 are you making the move to KPMG?
@D1 sorry, this was pre-deloitte
I had the same happen years ago when I applied to PwC. It’s not a KPMG thing per se, just a busy firm thing sadly. FWIW I always resolve outstanding interviews with my candidates.
Why would u want to move there?
A1 - based on what? I’ve personally interviewed +20 candidates at K and the record I’ve seen is less than 2 weeks from recruiter circulating CV to offer issued, others take longer for various reasons - no clue how that should translate to how it’s like working here, please enlighten us
D1 If the firm is comfortable ghosting candidates, this may represent other lapses in how folks are tested. It shouldn’t happen.
^fully agreed, it shouldn’t happen. But the key words in your sentence is “comfortable” and “may” - I don’t think anyone is comfortable with such a thing, obviously someone has made a mistake here which unfortunately is the case when people are involved and the firm is interviewing and hiring 1000s of people annually. But on the other point, it’s two separate parts of HR and still struggle to see the link
Well it has been going on for years so if the firm isn’t comfortable why do you suggest it’s still happening? Is the firm not capable of closing that gap? But advising others... 😒
I have heard 2-3 examples on here which is 2-3 too many but it happens. It shouldn’t but it does, in all firms in professional services. Doesn’t help you when your in the situation but that unfortunately how it is. If you want it to be escalated, send a burner and we can make sure someone from the business side in the relevant practice is made aware
