Were employees laid off from BASES?

Hey everyone, I was recently laid off.. on November 3 actually. It’s a “temporary layoff” and I’m one of the 4 who got laid off. My return date is February 1st. Would you wait, and collect employment insurance (Canada) or start looking for a new job??

Does anyone know what the severance policy/payout is at GT? I have looked on K-Source and see nothing related to that. I know they have one...

Has anyone heard of Big 4 TAS layoffs?

I got laid off with no warning. Reason given was my utilization was low at 81.8%. No performance problems. Would it be inappropriate for me to apply back to PwC to the teams I discussed rolling onto?

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 12. My family did not opt to put me on medication. I illegally discovered Adderall in college. Worked incredible. Got diagnosed after college & after having been fired from my first job. Passed the CPA exams on Adderall. Went off of it again. I do everything well at my job except for attention to detail within my excel files & emails. Will taking ADHD medication really fix this? Does anyone else have this issue and was it resolved by taking medication?

The lawyer should be experienced in handling this 60 day grace period situation and developing alternate strategies - such as change of status to B1/B2 or applying to jobs from India. Hello Fishbowl - A talented senior-level AD friend in Orange County got laid off before the holidays -- she does have healthcare experience. Does anyone know of opportunities she could scope out?

UK specific query - If my company cannot find me clients/work and want to dismiss me because they are unable to find work for me at no fault of my own do they have to provide a severance package?
UK law says it’s easy to dismiss employees with less than 2 years service but it’s a big grey area. Anyone got any experience with this?

Currently a manager for an OP clinic. Gave my notice after receiving an offer back in patient care for more money and a better schedule. Spoke to my RVP today who had nothing but positive feedback. He asked for feedback on how to prep the next non-clinical manager as others in the region have been fired or underperformed. Should I be insulted he did not offer me a raise? Wondering if I should use this an opportunity to negotiate or run as I have been feeling undervalued?

So I just got fired…. And was told I’d get two months severance… I’m in utter shock since I just got back from the hospital. I was told I needed to improve my performance in January and all the check ins I’ve had I was told I’m doing much better and was put on multiple long term projects and then this happened. I’m in shock and idk if 2 months severance is good bad?!? Idk thoughts?

I think I bombed my final round today. Was taken a bit aback with a pure focus on numbers so took a bit of time solving it and in the end interviewer skipped one part of a chart cos she had to move on to other charts. The qualitative case part went well I think. Disappointed in myself!

What do other partners take as unreimbursed partnership expenses? I submitted the documents 2 weeks back. HR discussed salary last week and told me that I will receive the salary breakup by last week only. Still have not received any update after that.
I have sent the email to HR yesterday asking for the status but no reply yet.

So many tech people working as contractor in NIQ. Their mentality and behaviour with NIQ employees are service based micromanagement mindset and not willing to share the KT appropriately and also not responding properly.
Previously I have worked in service based org, there also company pushing us to not help their client employees.
