Partner Interview (6th interview).
Good or Bad?
My referral had interviews w/ (1)
recruiter, (1) SM, then the series of
(3) 1:1's w/(1) MD and (2) SM's.
The recruiter said he will now have
an interview in Jan. w/ the PPMD.
He interviewed for a M role in
consulting for customer marketing.

He does have a wide skill set and the
recruiter said it was all positive
feedback, just have to find out
where to put him (on the team he
interviewed for or another he is
qualified for).Deloitte

There have been employers who have used mood trackers and wellness apps to basically spy on their staff and find out who might be easier to let go. I am completely suss on any data collection inside the workplace about anything to do with my wellbeing.
An EAP delivered by qualified psychs has to remain confidential and is nearly always a third party not in with the employer. The employer just gets a department and a bill, not names and tea.
I’m suspicious of the EAPs too specially in small departments
I would have agreed with you until you talked about the recent layoffs. That changes things immediately. Layoffs are never easy and it's one thing to talk about them in a meeting verses going through with that decision.
So it could be genuine concern and a realization of just how the layoffs have hit staff morale.
This is something where you need to see or hear about the proof of these wellness measures. On its surface, it doesn't seem like something they are using to distract the staff. It does seem to be in response to what recently happened.
A distraction would be a poorly planned pizza party or an awkward team-building exercise 'to create alignment so we can hit our goals.'
Thanks for this response. I couldn't have worded it better!
What does this mean? Wellness measures for the workplace or for the individuals in the workplace. If the latter this feels like a huge violation of health privacy
My company gave everyone a subscription to Headspace during COVID and called it a day…
It's fair that you have your doubts but I wouldn't think in that way. It does seem like they care about employee morale and welfare and are just taking the steps they need to take to get there.
PR lip service. Probably a lawsuit floating around that this kind of virtue signaling will help with
100% a planned obligatory response to distract from layoffs. Whether that’s for PR or for genuine concern for well-being doesn’t really matter because nothing can really make up for losing your livelihood 👎
