Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I interviewed at KPMG on 11/14 and got a verbal offer the next day but since then waiting to hear from them. Been following up continuously but the partners are not replying it seems. In the meanwhile i have an offer from BT offering 90k for 4 yrs of experience which seems to be fair. I am just unsure whether to accept the offer as I was waiting for kpmg reply as I want B4 on my resume which apparently is a big deal. Is BT also good on resume for future employers ??

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
