What are everyone's thoughts on LinkedIn posts made by executives or higher level leaders posting about how saddened they are about their company's layoffs and how recruiters should work fast to scoop the newly laid off people?

Is it thoughtful of them? Or does it seem like they're trying to ease their conscious?

I was informed today that my employment would be terminated at a tier-2 consulting firm in Toronto. The reasons for my dismissal are unclear and I would like to get legal advice on the termination agreement and severance package that was offered. Has anyone experienced a similar situation and can refer a good employment lawyer?

Who is still in denial about a housing correction? The Fed just made another .75% increase. Powell said they won’t stop until inflation is 2%. He also said a recession would be better than the consequences of unchecked inflation. He announced he will bring rates to a “restrictive level” until “the job is done”. He said that labor demand needs to soften (ie: layoffs). He very explicitly said he wants to slash demand and that housing needs a “correction”.

Resume question I've had three positions over my career one of which lasted 3 months and that I got fired from, the job search took an additional 2 months. Is it worth it to leave the 3 month stint off my resume? It might be easier to explain getting fired then a 5-month gap I was thinking

Newbie on the block wanted to ask how long the hiring process usually takes (for a junior or intern)?

Working on a long term brand platform, which had the potential to be a really stellar, powerful body of work.
