JPMorgan Chase Did a first round interview for a senior level position at JP Morgan.. hiring manager said I should receive a call back within a couple of weeks.. been over a month.. no intimation post that.. the HR in charge of hiring or scheduling haven’t replied to my emails on what comes next and haven’t scheduled anything. So should I consider this as a dead end ? Does this generally happen at JP? Feels weird that I have been ghosted after what I felt was a very good interview.. Was a good fit too.JPMorgan Chase

Btw - This is not a dig at any candidate. This is an acknowledgement that I’m not asking the right kinds of questions to make each one stand out in their own way.
Describe this scenario.. “they’re hiring a JR.strategist.. what 3 questions would they ask the candidates and why?”
If they tell you anything interesting explore it further.
So asking them how they might evaluate down, that’s actually quite interesting. I might use that one

Ask a question about a common problem you've encountered at work and would have your mid-level team tackle. Them working this out can show you how they approach problems and resolve them.
You may want to try a question that takes them out of their comfort zone. Something as random as what kind of animal/spice/cocktail best describes them can give you some insight into their thought process and get them away from their prepared/canned answers.
You can also try questions about what they are looking for in their team. Are they excited about possibly mentoring? Or do they want team members that are ready to do the work? That can tell you something about who the candidate is and their comfort level in a role/team environment.
What’s the most interesting thing you’ve encountered recently? If they start talking about an ad campaign, stop them and clarify you mean something outside of advertising.
This helps me gauge whether they are curious, their ability to describe something clearly, and their ability to make it interesting.
