Though it helps to be tech savvy as PM, you are not required to be technical. Your time is better spent on learning the sdlc process, different roles in agile/scrum, and why it works.
If you’re coming from BCG, consider taking a lesser impactful role of PO/PM as a contractor to gain actual experience, then it’d be easier for you to pass your interviews for bigger name companies.
It all comes down to luck, some will look for actual product experience, but some will be okay with brand name background. All require excellent soft skills, you should be fine on that front.
If you’re looking for a certificate to validate your credibility, most trusted one for PMs are from pragmatic institute.
