Hello all, I'm currently in final rounds with Google and TikTok, plus potentially Meta and Blackstone for similar Analyst positions in different business functions. I have 1YOE experience as an L4 BA in Amazon with incoming promotion to L5 at Q2, and was given the top performance rating (TT). There will probably be a pay bump from all offers but not sure if it will beat promo. If I am trying to optimize for the most successful life outcome - assume I get all of them - what should I do? *o*
Sorry this is a vent 😓 found a roomie online and moved in 6 months ago. She was extremely nice first few months. Of late, she keeps commenting on my looks like ‘oh you should totally be grateful to ur boyfriend for liking you amidst all the much prettier women out there’ or ‘oh yours was not a early promotion so it’s just normal’. I have always nice been despite knowing that she has the pattern of being the other woman. Should I move out ? Put a lot of money and effort setting up the place😢
This might be a silly question. But it’s my first big job, and I was curious about whether or not companies typically give a raise at a certain point in the year, at least to match inflation. Or do I have to be the one to bring it up?
Do you think promotion is more a preception game rather than the output yout actually produce?
I want to ask for inflation raise. My EOY raise was 2.5%. Inflation in 2021 was 6.8%. Has anyone had any success in getting more of a raise by simply pointing this out and asking? I’m a 3rd year at a mid-sized litigation firm. Ideally, I would like to see a total 9.3% raise but would be content with 6.8 total. Any advice on how to approach this?
I just learned that my company does mid-year reviews for promotions. Does anyone have advice on how to get a mid-year promotion? My people lead said I should create a slide of everything I have accomplished since I have been here.
Is asking for a raise at a company I’ve been at for 6 months to soon? I believe the work I’ve been doing is worth more than what I’m making now
Good Morning All, Looking for feedback on promotion raises with a title change inter company. Going from a senior role to associate director role. I've read a lot of mixed reports on negotiating the % of the overall raise.
I want to know how's job stability at IBM for band 7 - developer role. I have been tagged to a project which requires me to upskill my skillset. In case, there is performance issue for an employee, do they give second chance & move him to other project/bench or do they raise PIP?
Should I lateral to a new firm if I intend to go to grad school in 9 months? It’s a pay raise and could really use the extra savings. But I don’t want to burn bridges and not sure if I should disclose before accepting
How much raise do you look for when exiting PA in Canada? Looks like 20%-50% is what people get in US
My male creative partner (copy writer) might get the boot soon. He’s lazy, slow and does not get the work done. Even when he does, it’s not very good work. We started at the same time and I recently found out he makes more $$ than me! I’m hoping to ask for a raise and want to ask for more than what he makes because I work significantly harder and produce better work. Curious what your guys’ thoughts are on how much is too much when asking for a raise? I’ll be at my company a year this summer.
Hi fishes, I just browsed through this bowl and it seems I've replied to the HR's mail with an expected CTC way lower than the market trend. YOE - 9.1 Stack - IT/Network Current - 7.5LPA Expected - 18LPA (mentioned this in my reply to their mail along with all the docs). Should I've asked for more? Or will my current CTC hold me back? Should I drop another mail? Which designation should I go for? I can see guys getting AVP at this xp but I'm looking for B3 for ease of getting the next promotion.
Hi ZS folks, Joined ZS about 10 months ago as a BTSA. I had a few questions about ZS bonuses and raises. 1) I read somewhere that we get a work anniversary bonus, is it something that everyone gets, on their 1st anniversary as well? 2) Do we get the mid-year raise, every year? Any % range from your experience, would be helpful. Thank you.
Has anyone tried having their boss break down salary increases into components or a logic? My boutique firm gave me a total 10% increase in base over two years, calling it a “promotion bump”. When I inquired about inflation vs performance/responsibility, they said that’s the reason it’s 10%. In effect, ~3% effective increase over two years. Am I right to be a little frustrated?

Moving to the US from Asia. I have job offers as follows: director at KPMG and an experienced manager at EY both within the FDD team. Comps are almost the same. Point to note is that for KPMG, one moves from Director to Managing Director and then Partner while at EY, the Manager position is one step below a Senior Manager and then Partner. Office in NYC - what option would you pick and why?
