What are roles in data that would allow me to liase between technical folks and business people? I'm a finance person that has learned and has applied a good amount of data techniques (i.e. Python) on actual client projects. That said, I'm not a coding wiz and consider myself a business person who's extremely competent in data rather than a tech person. Trying to find a good fit/career path for someone like me that has domain knowledge and is competent, but isn't a PhD in stats/compsci either.

How many people earn a degree in Engineering but don’t pursue a career in it,for whatever reason?I know at least one and I don’t know why they spent all that time and money if they weren’t going continue in it

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house.
