CS? Teachyourselfcs is a great curriculum. If I had to pick one thing, designing data intensive applications would be my go to book recommendation

like

Thank you for the rec!

Hey Jimmy, I have a non cs background and did a coding course. Recommendations I’d make for you are to download python and get familiar with Jupyter lab. Look up some basic statistical analysis to perform and either follow a step by step, or find a data set you’re interested in and just do your own thing. Get your hands dirty with some free APIs or some webscraping and play with your favorite websites. Happy to help you in DMs if you have any other questions. Not a pro just an enthusiast :)

Hi everyone! I’ve been working as a product manager in an internal consulting department at Kaiser Permanente a on software product that maps and automates clinical workflows. Although my title is a consultant, my role entails the usual responsibilities of a PM (prioritizing builds and features, identifying business requirements, mapping user journeys and stakeholder management). Does anyone have any advice on ways to break into tech or suggestions of companies to look into?

I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I am expecting an offer from a firm doing business law work but think this might be an opportunity to go to my current employer and ask for a significant raise, with new offer in hand. Any thoughts or advice going into this?

Hi, where or what types of companies should sophomores & juniors apply for next summer (2022) to recruit for IB the following summer (2023)? This summer BBs wrapped up SA IB recruitment, EBs even earlier, and a fair amount of my friends missed out big time.

Also, if a sophomore or junior doesn’t get a finance-related summer internship (I.e tech) and aims for an IB SA or FT position, is it harder to break in?

Appreciate any advice and insight, thank you.
