PM, solutions architect, marketing, SWE, etc…Anyone can work in big tech, even without tech consulting, as long as you have the skills required.
Google and Amazon don’t even require degrees for their SWE roles as long as you can meet the technical bar

So it all depends on what you bring to the table. I’ll use SWE as an example. According to my friend at Google, college degrees aren’t a consideration as long as you meet the benchmark. I’m at Amazon and the guidance given in interviews is that degrees don’t matter either, if and only if you meet the technical benchmark.
You don’t need a degree to meet the benchmark since you can learn all that online whether it’s by auditing in person college courses or online coursera courses for free or through YouTube and then practicing leetcode problems once you understand the basics.
So for marketing, you might not need to have a marketing job on your resume or a marketing degree but if you can show your own projects, I think you’ll be fine. You don’t necessarily need the “experience” as long as you have the skills.
