What's the best way Calm app has helped you?
Hi Fishes,
I recently got an offer for Cyber security advisory at PwC India . They gave a 20% hike on the current amount. Thing is that l, the technical interview told me that it is not a software/coding type of position and asked me multiple times if I was interested to do that. Is that a red flag?
Anyone want to run Bain-style cases with me?

Unlimited PTO isnt a perk. It's a way to avoid paying out PTO when you leave.
Mind blown 🤯
We get a free course in discipline by being told to do 10 more slides on a brand new analysis every evening around 10pm
Lmk how that unlimited vacation works for you
I hate people that argue against unlimited PTO. Have you guys ever actually worked for a place with unlimited PTO? Because I have, and it’s great. I don’t care about a pay out if I leave, I care about freedom now. If you have and didn’t leverage it, that’s a personal problem.

I think you’re missing the point. I genuinely don’t like taking vacation while on cases so i accumulate a large amount and then I take the vacations when I basically reach my deadline for taking them. I would take much less vacation if I had unlimited because that motivation wouldn’t exist. Then at the end, I would’ve taken less vacation and have no payout
Unlimited vacation is not a good thing. It was an idea that was created to actual lower vaccine use and cost to companies. When yoh have a set amount of days you are more likely to use burn days to use what you have, plus now they don't have to pay out balances to the employees that are leaving. Plus your managers and leadership can still stop you or put pressure to reduce you ability to actually take the days you want off
Accenture’s ESPP stock program is pretty fire.
FB offers $3000 for wellness that covers way more than what EY covers. Not to mention free food, free laundry, car washing, $4000 for new parents, and much more. (Used to work at EY)
Recruiter will share with you the details of benefits when you get an offer. Depends on office but yes most benefits I listed are for all FTE
Literally never thought about the vacation that way. But point taken. Soooo what about other benefits tho??

BCG had what I can only describe as the best health insurance I’ve ever come across with $5 co pay on literally everything and no premium costs. They had an insanely generous expense policy that bled into what I would call benefits (e.g., paying for gym memberships, meal plans, commutes literally anything that would make you more productive). They had a $300 health benefit. They paid a huge sum into your retirement account. Some other fun stuff
Amazon has decent health insurance with a $30 premium, a 10% discount on Amazon which is amazing, 401k 50% match, they pay for all commuting like parking, lots of in office things.
BCG still takes the cake in my opinion but the Amazon discount is sweet
Wondering what Big D has for consultants
Use to be 50% match up to $500 for a well-being subsidy that was moderately restrictive.
Now they are bumping to $1000 and loosening restrictions. We are still getting the deets on that.
Overall doesn’t compete with what was described for bcg. Not sure if the upgrade will either.
