Hello, what is working in retail banking like at JPMorgan Chase ? Specially the branch manager role. I’m looking in the Columbus area. How is pay, culture, benefits, sales environment, meetings, etc. How easy is it to transition from retail banking to corporate. I hear the Polaris campus has great opportunities, I was thinking about getting my foot in the door through retail then transferring to corporate ?

Deloitte has tons of vet recruiting efforts and I’m assuming excellent retention.
In terms of promotion, nobody anywhere is going to get promoted just because they’re a vet. That part is on you as an individual contributor
Probably biased but Booz Allen has been the best company I’ve worked for since leaving the Air Force.
Big 4 and Accenture all have pretty large military hiring initiatives. For banking I have seen peers that have used military hiring to get roles at JPMC, Bank of America (this is a huge program), USAA, Ally, PNC, and Wells Fargo. I work in financial services consulting and can attest that both consulting and banking treat vets well if you put the time in to master your trade.
I believe Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, GE, Proctor and Gamble, and Johnson and Johnson also have military hire programs.
I would hazard a guess that many more F500 companies have some form of a military hiring initiative. Best bet would be to start looking on LinkedIn or Google.
Wells Fargo has a real good program for vets. USAA does as well.
Im not really sure what veteran friendly in terms of a company means. I used to think it was important, but now I’m not sure what to think.
Not sure about Wells Fargo simply because of all their issues. Would never be a customer of theirs for sure.
start your own veteran owned business.
corporations love to contract with minority and veteran owners
Wells Fargo and Deloitte have had pretty good veteran programs in place. But I think there's a lot of space for veteran owned businesses if that is of interest
Amazon is incredibly veteran friendly and especially so to reservists and NG members. Not a place for those looking to coast, but lots of veterans in the ranks and very military friendly for those who want to work hard and do well.
Security companies hire Vets. They don't pay alot or pay salaries. I say do Security until you can get into something big that's going to pay a salary.
